PRODUCT

Prolube Solex semi-synthetic metal working fluid is a biostatic machining and grinding fluid recommended for both ferrous and aluminium alloys. This new formulation provides a high quality finish on all surfaces as well as being able to be used in heavy-duty applications of ferrous alloys.

Prolube Solex is environmentally friendly, containing no sulphur, phosphorous or chlorine additives and is triazines free, while still providing excellent resistance to microbial development. Solex is a low foaming emulsion that resists air entrapment, reducing the risk of pump cavitation and enables excellent lubrication and cooling to the work zone whilst improving the quality of the finish.

Prolube Solex improves productivity with longer life, leaves no sticky residues on the workpiece and the machines, while also providing superior corrosion protection for the machined parts.

APPLICATION

Solex is a general-purpose metal cutting and machining and grinding coolant. It is suitable for all ferrous materials including cast iron and steel, as well as aluminium alloys. Solex gives good results with yellow metals, but prompt removal with a suitable cleaner will prevent staining in the high copper content materials.

It is used in industrial applications where a general-purpose soluble oil is required such as: Milling, Drilling, Tapping, Grinding, Turning, Broaching, Thread cutting & Metal forming.

Mix at 4% to 8% concentration for machining, and 3% to 5% for grinding. Use with clean
fresh water to form a white emulsion
